| Q. |
What does a PetCare Pet Insurance
Program cover? |
| A: |
PetCare Pet Insurance Programs
offer responsible pet owners a wide range of accident and illness
coverage. These programs have been developed with the input
of experienced veterinarians to provide pet owners with programs
that are affordable, easy to use, easy to understand and that
offer coverage for the accidents and illnesses that are most
common to domestic cats and dogs through all stages of life.
We cover veterinary visits for any accidents or illnesses that
the pet is covered for, and all the procedures, up to the limits
indicated in the Program, necessary to provide the best possible
care for the four-legged family members. We recommend, that
policyholders talk to their veterinarian and decide together
what the best possible course of action is for each and every
accident and illness that occurs.

| Q. |
Do you cover routine care? (Dental,
spaying, neutering, Heart Guard, etc.) |
| A: |
When you add a dog to the family
you know that the certain everyday needs like food, toys and
routine health care (such as vaccinations and physical exams)
are necessary to keep your pet healthy and happy. These expenses
can be budgeted. What do you not know is whether or not a
serious accident or illness is just around the corner.
Other pet insurance providers try to convince pet owners that
an insurance policy covering routine care is good for the family
budget. So, why doesn't PetCare cover day-to-day maintenance?
It's simple. Paying for routine care through an insurance program
is not cost effective. For the items that you can budget, it
is less expensive to pay for them directly yourself.
PetCare's programs are designed to provide coverage for what
you can't budget - the unexpected - with sensible, straightforward
accident and illness protection. We have you, your family
budget and your dog's best interests in mind.

| Q. |
How much are the deductibles? |
| A: |
A $50 deductible is payable
(unless otherwise noted) per event regardless of the number
of trips needed to the veterinarian. This deductible remains
constant for as long as the Pethealth insurance policy is in
force - it will not rise as the pet ages.

| Q. |
How do policyholders make a
claim? |
| A: |
Policyholders should mail or
fax in the one page claim form that they will receive with their
policy package. This claim form should be completed by the policyholder
and the attending veterinarian and sent with the original receipts.
Policyholders may call our friendly customer care department
for information about their claim at any time.
|
| Q. |
How long will it take for my
claim to be paid? |
| A: |
Our mandate is to process your
claim within five business days after receiving your completed
claims form with original receipts attached. If we have any
questions about it, we´ll call you immediately.
|
| Q. |
Do you cover pre-existing conditions? |
| A: |
No we do not cover pre-existing
conditions.
At the time that PetCare receives an illness claim from a policyholder,
we will request information from the pet's veterinarian regarding
the illness history. In the event that the illness was a pre-existing
condition at the time of enrollment the claim will not be paid.
|
| Q. |
Can policyholders use any veterinarian? |
| A: |
Yes.
We believe that pets should receive the care their owners want
them to have, not the care we say they can have. Whether the
policyholder chooses to provide traditional veterinary care
or homeopathic veterinary care to their pet, is only dependent
up personal choice. We work on a reimbursement system, this
means the policyholder pays the veterinarian and we then reimburse
the policyholder (minus your deductible). |
